Nicholas Walters of Jamaica gave his father a great birthday present by knocking out Nonito Donaire in the sixth round of their Featherweight title fight in Carson California, USA.

Walters knocked Donaire down for the first time in his career in round three with right upper-cut and the end came in the sixth round with and overhand right above the ear. Donaire beat the count but the referee Raul Caiz Jr. stopped the fight after are witnessing and unsteady Donaire.

Walters was in charge for most of the fight and led on all three scorecards. Two judges had it 48-46 for Walters after five rounds and the third had it 49-45.

Walters got hit on a few occasions when he turned overconfident and later said.

"I got a little bit confident and thinking that I am going to overpower him and he caught me good," Walters said. "BOOM!  I recuperated from just walking over to the corner after the round.

After the fight Donaire said "He's an amazing fighter; an amazing champion." "I was at my best for this. I never trained this hard. I never ever trained this hard for a fight." He kicked the s*** out of me”
