I have been observing the Guyana 2020 electoral process and trying to understand the corrupt acts being perpetrated on the people of Guyana by some of those who have power. I am aware that electoral fraud is not unusual and it generally becomes a case of “who blinks first.” But what is currently happening in Guyana has me disturbed.

Dr. Ralph Gomes passes on March 16, 2020
Dr. Ralph C. Gomes, professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at Howard University, died on Monday, March 16, 2020. He is survived by two sons, R. Christopher, Jr. and R. Alexander, six grandchildren, eight sisters and two brothers. Ralph was predeceased by his daughter, Sasha and parents, Lena and Lionel Gomes of Guyana and three siblings.

Dear Editor, “Democratic dirty hands” The elections fiasco has reached the courts again. This time a citizen wants the President to be sworn in without a recounting of the votes, and indifferent to any prospects of further political fallouts. The agreement between the President and the Opposition leader for a recount, at this stage, is unconstitutional she claims.
