Johnny (Frank) Terrill the legendary motor racing champion of the 1950s and 1960s passed away on December 28, 2017.

Terrill worked at Cable and Wireless earlier in his career but later moved to live outside of Toronto, Ontario Canada

During the Saturday morning qualifying session for the 7th. round of the Mexican FIA F4 series at the San Luis Potosi circuit, Calvin Ming finished in P1, with a time of 1 min. 13.924 sec. Moises De La Vara in P2 with 1 min. 14.005 sec. and Alex Carreno in P3 with 1 min. 14.487 sec.

Earlier today Andrew "Six Heads" Lewis died after the bicycle he was riding was in a collision with a car on the New Hope, East Bank Demerara Road. 

In 2001 Lewis became the first boxer from Guyana to earn a world title when he defeated American James Page by TKO to win the World Boxing Association's welterweight crown in Las Vegas.

Ranking highs for Guyana by the International Rugby Board

Guyana reached new highs in the latest IRB World Rankings after contrasting victories over on Saturday May 17, 2014.

Guyana beat Barbados 48-19 on the road to rise five places to 56th, equaling their highest ever position since the rankings were introduced in October 2003. Barbados has fallen four places to 78th after the defeat.
