Barbara Adams Wilson was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. She was the middle child of Joseph and Elsa Adams. Her parents were born in Buxton, her mom was a homemaker, and her dad owned a pharmacy store in Durban Street, Lodge. One of her first goals attained was being selected to attend the prestigious Bishops High School (BHS) in the 60s.

Albert (Zick) Eustace Isaacs died on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at age 73 in Ontario, Canada.

Albert was born in Guyana to the late Albert (Sr.) and Irma Isaacs, and was the brother of Yvette, Garth and the late Michael Isaacs.

Albert was a pilot at Guyana Airways, then immigrated to Canada in 1975.

Frank Watson, Paul DaSilva, Colin Moore and Lloyd Marshall were the second batch of Guyanese Students to enroll at the Embry RiddleAeronautical University in July 1970 for the Professional Pilot Training Programme.

Roland DaSilva was born on November 27, 1936 the first born of four sons to Gaston DaSilva who was a first generation Guyanese of Portuguese descent and Angelina Mekdeci who was born in New York, USA, of Lebanese parents, who moved to British Guiana via New York and Cayenne, French Guiana.

Former RAF pilot, Captain Brion Murphy who was an aviation pioneer of Guyana, died today November 15 in his birthplace of Ireland following a long illness.

He was awarded a Government of Guyana Scholarship to attend one of the world’s most Prestigious Aviation Universities: Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida USA where he completed his Aviation Education.
