Eddie Taylor, born and raised in Guyana, has gone professional since he was 16 years old.
It was soon discovered that Eddie was not only a singer (songwriter, arranger, producer). He is an all-rounder who is so versatile that he is known by many in the Music Industry.
Supporting acts for The Mighty Sparrow, Sam & Dave, Ben E. King, King Floyd and then off to Europe, where he performed with formations like: The Swinging Soul Machine, supporting acts for James Brown, The Tramps, The Three Degrees, and Tavares. Did background-vocals for Anita Meijer, Willeke Alberti, Lee Towers, BZN, as well advertisements for Bacardi Rum, Killean Bier (Heineken), FBTO, NS.
He sang in Jingles for Veronica’s radio and television.With Fantasyx on the National Song festival in 1992 and background-vocals in animation films like: The Lion King I and II, Ferngully.
Eddie has worked with Gordon, Babette van Veen, Candy Dulfer and Glennis Grace.
Eddie is part of MotownHead since 2007. During all this work, Eddie also recorded solo-CD’s, which unfortunately did not make the Charts, but attracted attention by delivering covers better than the original artists. From Lou Rawls to Luther Vandross, from old Soul to present-day R&B.
