With splendid sunshine and North-Easterly breeze of about 5 mph Guyanese came out to the seawall and other venues for the annual ritual of Kite Flying.
The girls in the latest fashions, the boys spending more time helping the fashionable girls than flying kites, the kids demanding their parents attention to get their kites in the sky and their parents only too willing for a break to enjoy the the various beverages of the day.
With all things in place, food, drinks, sunshine and an opportunity to have fun, it is another day in the life of Guyanese.
