Eugene Register-Guard, Thursday June 07, 1956, Eugene, Oregon - Mrs. Sylvia V. Collins of Georgetown, British Guiana may have set a record among parents coming for graduation ceremonies at the University of Oregon. She flew 6,000 miles from her home to Eugene. This weekend her son, Bertram, will be among the marching graduates. Collins will receive a master's degree in political science then he will spend another year at Oregon completing work for his doctorate. Mrs. Collins is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Waite, 648 W. 8th Street, Eugene Oregon.
