Guyana's Governor General Sir David Rose

Governor General Sir David Rose, 44, of Guyana, and wife Patricia, occupy Guyana House in Georgetown.

He wears the formal uniform of office. Son of a leprologist, Sir David was governor of Antigua two years and colonel in the police force when he received Queen’s appointment following Guyana’s independence.

Narrowly missing death from a shot fired by escaped prisoner.

His Excellency won police service medal and bar for gallantry. Governors make “speech from the throne,” at the state opening of Parliament.

The couple has  6 children
