Roman Hall's double lung transplant has been a success.

Roman Hall Cystic Fibrosis patient

Roman Hall who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis has successfully emerged from his double lung transplant surgery.

Roman Hall's surgery began on Thursday 26, September 2013 at around 4:00 am and at 1:00 pm news of a "successful procedure” was delivered from the operating room.

At 5:00 pm on Thursday, Roman’s mom reported that he was responsive although still sedated.

At around 1:00 pm on Friday the ventilation tube was removed and Roman was breathing on his own. At 6:00 pm he was sitting up and smiling, see photo.

Please remember Roman and his family still need our prayers and help, this transplant is not a cure but will provide him with a greater chance of living as normal a life as possible with the current available science.
