Today the British police announce that they want to interview Nigella Lawson about here cocaine use. It's a sad day for a talented and much-admired TV personality - but it's right that she is investigated.
Cocaine use does untold damage to places Bartica in Guyana (pictured). This is where local drug lords tranship the stuff, en route from Colombia to the US or Europe. It is a poisonous trade.
As one local man told me angrily, 'American use of cocaine corrupts us; it corrupts our police, our judiciary and our politicians. And we don't even use the stuff.' People like Lawson need to stop using cocaine, for the sake of places like Guyana.
