Press Release From Sharma Solomon Regional Chairman- Region 10 & APNU+AFC Campaign Manager Region 10

President Donald Ramotar is not sincere in his “humility” appealing to the military to get their votes. Guyana’s military is advised not to vote for President Ramotar and the PPP.

Minister Ramsaran’s Firing is a Victory for the Culture of Resistance

Health Minister Bheri Ramsarran

Minister Ramsarran, the minister who, like his comrades, believe that we are still a Plantation society, has been fired. It does not change anything about the PPP’s attitude to power. This firing is out of character for the PPP, which has been supremely stubborn on disciplining those guilty of official excesses. Minister Nandalall and several other errant ministers were not fired.

GTUC is cautious about President Ramotar’s statement on Dr. Bheri Ramsaran - Guyana Trades Union Congress Press Release

GTUC notes the Minister of Health Dr. Bheri Ramsaran has been relieved of his portfolios by President Donald Ramotar and welcomes this move, though this came days after his abuse of Ms. Sherlina Nageer and only after public pressure from all quarters.  Looking through the lens of the trade union being relieved from duties does not necessarily translate to being fired.

The PPP’s "Scorched Earth" Approach to the 2015 Elections

Health Minister Bheri Ramsarran

As the election gets closer the war of words from the leaders of the PPP seem to get more crass.

The most recent tirade was from the minister of health Bheri Ramsarran to a female who had made a rebuttal to one of his statements while in a public meeting.

GTUC condemns PPP’s fear and smear political campaign

The GTUC calls on the PPP to stop its fear and smear political campaign. The statement by Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon that the government is worried about the influx of former military officers to support the opposition party in the lead up to the May 11th polls is feigned indignation to continue its divide and rule policy, to divert attention, so as not to be held accountable for their stewardship. The PPP clearly demonstrates that it is prepared to continue using the military as a political football where they play both the challenging team and the defending team.

APNU MP Vanessa Kissoon's Statement Regarding the False Press Report of Her "Arrest"

It is unfortunate that media reports are being carried about a Police arrest of me and the accuracy of such a report was not verified or validated. It should be stated clearly, that I was never arrested by the Police and therefore could not have been released.
