Olga Evelyn Moore was born on May 19 1927 in Ann’s Grove Village, East Coast Demerara, Guyana to Vincent &Winifred Moore (nee Sancho). 

She married Claude McKenzie, a fellow Guyanese in England and the union bore three children.

Father of Geri Ann,(Guyana) Jenna (Florida) and Neil (St Lucia) Grandfather of Antonio (Guyana). Brother of Collette, Pat, Desiree, Clement, Elizabeth and Ann. Several Nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Vernon "Lou" Hlubek hunted WWII submarines from a blimp of the shores of British Guiana (Guyana)

Vernon 'Lou' Hlubek

Vernon "Lou" Hlubek, a Navy veteran who hunted enemy submarines from blimps and served on a military operation in Antarctica, died Sunday of complications from a recent fall, his family said. He was 89. Mr. Hlubek (pronounced lu-bek) was a Midwestern farm boy who joined the Navy in 1942 and traveled around the world.
