Frank Stewart Stevenson, former motor racing champion and well known figure in motor sports in Guyana, died on New Year’s Day in a hospital in Miami.
Stewart, born on November 22, 1953 and was an iconic figure in motor racing in the 1970s wining numerous trophies.

Mrs Ramayya or Merle as she was commonly known, was a kind and humble person who provided quiet and dignified support to her family and the AFC family. She will best be remembered for her willingness to serve and dedication to her family. She co-hosted the first-ever Berbice held AFC National Executive Committee leadership meeting at Whim on February 9, last.

Jeane Audrey Thom (nee Went), passed away on March 5, 2013 at Laurel Regional Hospital, Laurel Maryland, USA after a brief illness.
She was born on July 14, 1950 in Georgetown, Guyana to the late John and Ordelia Went. She completed her elementary and secondary education in Guyana before migrating to Montreal Canada in 1969. She earned her nursing diploma at Dawson College in 1976 and joined Sir Mortimer B. Davis Memorial Hospital, Montreal as an registered nurse (RN) in the post op department until 1989.
Edwin Richard Denys Moulder (October 09, 1875 - November 21, 1942)
The son of a former vicar, Edwin Moulder was educated at Queen's College, in Georgetown, where he won the Guiana Scholarship in 1891, and at Merton College, Oxford. He gained third class honours in History in 1895. He qualified as a Bachelor of Arts in 1896 and served as Assistant Master, Lodge School, Barbados, from 1899 to 1901.

On May 24, 1918, Monroe and Myrtle (Wood) Knupp gave birth to their eighth child. Clarence Jean Knupp (CJ) in Warren, Pennsylvania. CJ was the second youngest of six brothers and three sisters. CJ grew up in a house near Warren in the village of Starbrick. He then met the love of his life Mildred Marcella Beck (Milly).

Rojeana Auriel Hall died earlier today at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida from complications of Cystic Fibrosis. She was 19 years old.
Auriel (as she was known) was born on June 27, 1993 to Robert Edmund Hall and Monique Archer Hall and was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) when she was seven months old.

Mr. Fraser was the owner of a property management firm that manages rental properties for Guyanese Living abroad and was always “on the job."

The unanticipated death of Denis Williams after a short bout with cancer deprived Guyana of a remarkably versatile native son.
His early promise as a painter won him a two-year British Council scholarship to the Camberwell School of Art in London in 1946. He remained in London during the following decade, during which he taught fine art and held several one-man shows of his work.
