On Friday 20 May 2016, THE Guyana Reparations Committee will hold the Main event of its month long activities for the CARICOM International and Regional Youth Reparations Relay and Rally at the Parade Ground (Independence Park) where in 1823 over 200 African Guyanese Freedom Fighters and Martyrs were killed by the British and their heads decapitated and placed on poles to be displayed in public

President David Granger, on Wednesday last, joined regional leaders from the Caribbean Community and Central America, at the US State Department, Washington DC for the US- Caribbean- Central American Energy Summit.

Kwesi Oginga was born in Beterverwagting, Guyana. His life as a writer began at age 15. His works won him several Certificates of Excellence at the Guyana Festival in the Arts (GUYFESTA). His works were also featured at the Caribbean Festival of the Arts (CARIFESTA), and at the Festival of the Guianas in Suriname and Cayenne.
