As everyone is aware, Nigel suffered a heart attack on Saturday March 16 while on a visit to Marudi in the remote Rupununi. On Sunday morning he was airlifted to Georgetown and was admitted to the Caribbean Heart Institute of the Georgetown Hospital, where he remains a patient. He is responding satisfactorily to the excellent medical attention he is receiving.

The Guyana Expo 2013 was held this year at the Georgia Piedmont Technical College, USA. The Expo was held in collaboration with Thompson Management Consulting, of Atlanta, Ga. This is the second Expo the first being held in New York in 2005.
